Dalam film Sherni, kehidupan desa yang damai berubah drastis ketika ayah Durga, seorang pengembara, menjadi sasaran Thakur Dharampal Singh. Setelah ayahnya disiksa, Durga terpaksa menghadapi kenyataan pahit dan memutuskan untuk membalas dendam.
