Seorang penulis dan dua anaknya pindah ke pulau terpencil, disambut peringatan mengerikan dari tetangga: "Jangan keluar saat sirene berbunyi." Awalnya mereka mengabaikannya, sampai sirene itu benar-benar meraung di malam hari—diikuti oleh teriakan dan bayangan mengintip dari kegelapan.
