Di ketinggian Pegunungan Sierra Nevada, Sheriff lokal menemukan mobil jenazah milik Paul McGuiness—juara dunia skateboard—terbengkalai di tepi danau terpencil, dengan papan selancar mengambang di air beku, tapi tak ada jejak tubuhnya. Desas-desus bunuh diri atau overdosis obat pun merebak, diduga akibat tekanan keras untuk mempertahankan gelarnya. Bruce, sang kakak sekaligus manajer, diliputi rasa bersalah dan memulai perjalanan epik bersama empat sahabat Paul untuk memulihkan kehormatan adiknya.
