Inti cerita bergerak pada perjuangan setiap anggota keluarga—mulai dari sang anak yang baru kembali dari luar negeri hingga menantu yang merasa tertekan—dalam menghadapi ekspektasi sosial dan realitas ekonomi yang keras. Konflik ini mengeksplorasi tema identitas, kegagalan komunikasi antar-generasi, dan harga yang harus dibayar demi status materi di tengah masyarakat yang sangat kompetitif.
