Di tahun 1893, Mohandas Gandhi diusir dari kereta di Afrika Selatan hanya karena berkulit cokelat dan duduk di kelas satu. Peristiwa itu memicu perjalanan epiknya melawan ketidakadilan dengan perlawanan tanpa kekerasan, mengubahnya menjadi simbol harapan bagi rakyat India. Dari Afrika Selatan hingga kemerdekaan India dari Inggris, perjuangannya penuh pengorbanan—penahanan, kekerasan, dan kelaparan—namun tekadnya tak pernah goyah.
