Di tengah panas menyengat musim panas, sebuah perumahan steril di pinggiran Roma menjadi latar kisah keluarga-keluarga yang terasing dan penuh kekecewaan. Orang tua frustasi oleh impian kelas menengah yang tak tercapai, sementara anak-anak mereka menjadi pusat gelombang kehancuran yang mengancam seluruh lingkungan.
