Pada tahun 1972, tim rugby Uruguay terbang ke Chile untuk sebuah pertandingan, namun pesawat mereka jatuh di Pegunungan Andes. Dianggap tewas oleh tim penyelamat, 16 orang bertahan hidup selama dua bulan di tengah salju yang mematikan.
